Autopilot

Each month the content agent proposes new articles, pages and refreshes for your site from real search data. You approve the plan, and it writes each piece.

Autopilot keeps your site growing without you thinking of topics. On the 1st of each month the content agent proposes a short plan of new articles and pages, and refreshes of pages that could do better. You choose which pieces it writes. Nothing is written until you approve it, and nothing goes live until you publish it.

Turn it on

Open your site and choose Autopilot in the sidebar. Switch Autopilot on, and set Pieces a month, at most (4 by default, up to 15). The plan for this month starts straight away; after that, a new plan arrives on the 1st of every month.

The number is a limit, not a target. When there aren't enough topics worth writing, the plan has fewer pieces and says why.

How the plan is chosen

The agent works from your brand profile and your site's pages:

  • It groups topics around your services, so every article supports the page that turns visitors into customers.
  • It checks real search data for your country, and what Google shows for each search today. A search that wants a service page gets one; a search the big directories own is left alone.
  • It never plans a piece about a service, area or qualification your brand profile doesn't list, and never two pages for the same search.
  • It favours pieces that help someone decide: costs, comparisons, rules, problems and fixes.
  • For refreshes, it looks for pages that could rank higher, and leaves pages that already rank in the top three alone.

Each piece in the plan shows its search phrase, how many people search for it each month, how hard it is to rank for, and one line on why it's there.

Approve the plan

You get an email when the plan is ready. On the Autopilot page, untick any piece you don't want and choose Approve. Or choose Propose a different plan for a new one. A plan you don't approve by the end of the month lapses.

Writing and publishing

Approved pieces are written one at a time, each in a few minutes, using the same steps as when you ask the agent yourself: research, writing, search and AI checks, and a test build. Each lands in your draft. You get an email when they're all done.

Review them under Changes & deploys, or in the editor, and publish when you're happy. A piece that didn't finish shows Try again.

What it costs

Autopilot uses your plan's actions: 2 to propose the plan, and 8 for each piece written. A month of 4 pieces is about 34 actions. If your workspace runs out of actions, the remaining pieces wait and carry on once actions are available again.

To stop, switch Autopilot off. Pieces already in your draft stay there.
