Forms and your Inbox

Add a contact or enquiry form to any page, choose who gets each message by email, and read everything in the site's Inbox.

Every site can have forms: a contact form, a quote or booking request, a registration. Messages arrive in the site's Inbox and by email, and spam is filtered out for you.

Add a form

In the editor, add a Form section where you want it (hover between sections and choose +), then set its title, the button text, the thank-you message and its fields. Each field has a label, a type (text, email, phone, a longer message, a choice, a checkbox, a date or a number) and whether it's required. You can also ask the agent: "Add a quote request form to the Services page."

Publish, and the form works straight away. It sends to your own site address, and it works even for visitors with JavaScript turned off.

Who gets the email

Go to Settings → Forms. Each message is emailed to the addresses you list there, up to 10; if you leave it empty, the workspace's owners get them. Reply to the email to answer the visitor directly.

The Inbox

Open Inbox in the site's menu. New messages are marked, and opening one marks it read. From a message you can reply, mark it unread, move it to spam, or delete it. CSV downloads a form's messages for a spreadsheet.

Spam

Firetend files obvious spam on its own: forms filled in by bots, sent too fast, or full of links. It's kept under Spam for 30 days in case something real ended up there; Not spam moves it back.

Limits

Your plan includes a number of emailed messages per site each month (1,000 on Starter, 2,500 on Growth, 5,000 on Agency). Above that, messages still arrive in the Inbox but aren't emailed until the next month.

For agencies

Clients you give access to a site see its Inbox by default. If you handle their enquiries yourself, turn off Clients see the Inbox in Settings → Forms, and add whichever addresses should get the email.

Your visitors' privacy

You decide what a form asks for, so say on your site how you use what visitors send, for example in your privacy page. Only ask for what you need.
